I am 14 years old. I am a freshman in highschool right now and I really need a job. I am going to be saving all summer to go to a school that i've been wanting to attend next year.I know that the only places I can really work besides for my parents or babysitting is in fast food. I live in springfield IL. If anyone knows where any job openings are here that I could apply for that would be highly appreciated.
Thank You

she is actually afraid that if the boss lady keeps APPYLING pressure, and wha tnot- she my end up saying soething she'l regret, or even quit.

What would be a nice way for her to say something to the boss- that she's had enough- without getting fired, or all fired up.

(She doesn't want to get herself fired up either)

I don't think there's anything anyone CAN say..is there? She probably justnees to forget about it, right?

Mmmk I find that so many people dont like the current job they have but yet they have worked all there lives to get to were they are today

If you could go back to when you were just getting out of highschool what career path would you take ?
If you could go back to the days when people asked you "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
What would your changed responce be?

I am done with my curriculum in English. I sought an internship for additional experience in January, but it did not work out because the Editor claimed, "she did not have any time to mentor me along." She accepted me and I was willing to work where I could also obtain more skills. My intention was to obtain extra training related to my field. It was an editorial intern position. So I was out of that.

My next move was to try a few agencies. I went in for an interview and took a test for Microsoft Office. I know the basic functions of the program but did not realize I would be tested so suddenly. It went into the advanced functions of the program which were sudden Greek to me.

Next, as fed up as I was, I applied for a part-time position at Walgreens, where I am still working. I know you may say this is still considered a job but certainly not one in my field. Right now, I am seeking entry-level employment or at least trying to secure a full time office position.

I need to research a job and I'm having a difficulty picking a job to research.

I want to research a job that has opportunities of meeting new people (being social) and that needs at least a bachelor's degree in business or management.

Any ideas?

thanks.

hi there - wondering how you can find out about research projects (specifically through universities, and other formal institutions) to get financially involved in? Not to volunteer as a lab rat, but too invest in? Thanks for your time!

I am getting ready to graduate from college in NC and my home is NY. I'm trying to decide whether I should move back home or not. On a salary of 40k - 45k would I be able to live comfortably on Long Island with apartments in the range of 1100k to 1400k and everything else needed to live comfortably. If you live in NY and know from experience please help me out, even if you don't too.

I started a new job a week ago. I have since learned that the company is a scam, and doesn't really do charity work for a missing children's group. I have since found out it is a DS Max company. They have cult like behavior, have been very vague and even lied to me about their business and such things as benefits. I was working 12 hr days, and then expected to study and teach back their methods including every detail the next day in my spare time. Their morning meetings consisted of brainwashing and telling us how much money we could make if we stick it out selling crap at supermarkets, working solely on commission, and pretending to help out a children's charity. I found a lot of sites online about people being scammed the same way I was. My "trainer" called me today since I didn't go in yesturday. I didn't answer. How do I go about getting paid for the work I did?

I like to laugh and have fun, but for some reason when I get up in front of a group of people I'm really dry. I even bore myself.

Anyone else have this problem? I do I overcome it?
