hi there - wondering how you can find out about research projects (specifically through universities, and other formal institutions) to get financially involved in? Not to volunteer as a lab rat, but too invest in? Thanks for your time!

My school has a section on the school's website primarily dedicated to research. It has info. on all types of projects, publications, awards, etc. So whatever school you're referring to, check out their site and look for a "Research" section, and take it from there.
