Only one moment every exists, and that moment is the present moment. At any given time, that is the only moment of time there is. While it is good to have some goals, I don't think it is good to take them too seriously. Happiness only exists in the one moment that ever exists, which is the present. The future is just a dream, and the past is just a memory.

i dont know why im answering this question BUT statistically i shouldnt even be successfully where im at now. because of my childhood and the hand i was dealt i should be addicted to drugs or in carcerated BUT im not. i was an abanded child, mom was 15 and dad was shot by police when he was 19. my terminal ill grandparents raised me until they passed when i was 13. i had to find out at an early age that i could either live or die. for many years i lived a dead life. drugs, crime, depression. one thing my grandma asked of me on her death bed was for me to graduate from high school. i quit going after there was no one to make me go. at the age of 18, i had my own apt, i had a full time job at the grocery. i enrolled back into high school. i took 11 and 12 english to be able to graduate before i turned 20. i didnt go to the prom, i didnt perticipate in any hs activities because i had a house to maintain. when i crossed that stage at graduation everyone in the gym stood up for me and aupplauded because i did it and was a positive role model for others. i have futhered my carreer in going back to school in my 30s with 2 babies and graduated with an associates degree. i made the honor roll and deans list. just last week i took the enterance test for a nursing program, which i will be working fulltime as well as going to school and being a mother to my children. so i can say to you that my goals and dreams are coming true and i do believe i am successful. i have conqued the odds. no matter your lifes situation you can do whatever you set your mind to doing.........

Everything I possibly can, I could stay up longer and read my books, but really I'm waiting to hear back to see if I got an internship in DC so, I have postponed planning my calendar past this June...
This internship will help me because it is the most out of the box goal I've set for myself. I've met every goal I've set for myself so far. This one cannot get away.

I guess it all depends on how we determine success. According to my son, because I make 100k / yr, I am successful. However, if you look at the goals and dreams I still have, I am jno closer to them than I was 20 years ago.
