I am done with my curriculum in English. I sought an internship for additional experience in January, but it did not work out because the Editor claimed, "she did not have any time to mentor me along." She accepted me and I was willing to work where I could also obtain more skills. My intention was to obtain extra training related to my field. It was an editorial intern position. So I was out of that.

My next move was to try a few agencies. I went in for an interview and took a test for Microsoft Office. I know the basic functions of the program but did not realize I would be tested so suddenly. It went into the advanced functions of the program which were sudden Greek to me.

Next, as fed up as I was, I applied for a part-time position at Walgreens, where I am still working. I know you may say this is still considered a job but certainly not one in my field. Right now, I am seeking entry-level employment or at least trying to secure a full time office position.

I've been there and even ended up at Walgreens myself for awhile. Best advice I can give you is this: you've got a job right now, so you don't have to worry about paying your bills. Be thankful for that, at least. Meanwhile, never give up on the job search. Something WILL come along at one point or another. Good luck!
