I am a 24 years old. Right now I am a student at a community college and also working. I have between 42-48 credits. I am majoring in Business Admin. I have also been working at a bank for 5 years in the operations department. Due to some financial reasons I need to start looking for a full time job. I have been thinking about looking at jobs in other states and even thinking about transerring to another college. Here are two options that I need some advice about.

Option 1. Relocate to a different state. Get a full time job in that state and transfer to another college. I was wondering if I transfer to another community college for my associates degree would that college still award me with an associates degree even though I would almost be finish with the program?

Option 2 Transfer to a 4 year college or university as a full time student. Try to see if I can get in an internship with the college and get a private student loan to help pay with expenses.

i love the idea of mass communication and all and i have to say that im truly interested in majoring on public relations but theres only one thing thats bothering me. I feel quite inconfident about my writings. Im not exactly gifted with such talent so i was just wondering if thats important? Do i need to be a good writer in order to be succesful? And i really mean to be succesful in the field of public relations?

I work in a hotel near Sheffield, and the manager has taken money out of cash tips. I saw him take £200 out once and I don't know if he put it back. What is the best thing to do?

I'm 6 months pregnant and barely showing. I need a job really bad to buy some of the things we still need for the baby and to pay off some of our debt. I'm pretty sure that I know how I'll handle it (not tell) but I just want to know what your opinions are? I am in Canada and I already know that I have no legal obligation to tell and that they can't fire me once they find out because that would be against the law. The best supporting comment for my case that I have heard is basically not to tell and when they ask/find out to say that it never came up. I'm not applying for anything great, just a job at a fast food restaurant. Any other advice would be appreciated!

Two calls in two days. Not bad since I just sent out my resume last week. As I mentioned before, I received three calls the last time around and one job offer only to have it recinded when I informed them of my credit issue. I am looking in the accounting/financial area primarily since that is where my experience and degree are in. But I don't want to get ahead of myself here.

I have looked at other areas and I either need to take a drastic cut in pay, or I don't have experience.

I already know that the odds are against me with the credit thing. I've heard from the critics. But my references are great and I have a good work ethic. And I am obviously honest if I have been up front with potential employers......

Any suggestions on how to look at this in a positive light???

I am moving to LA in August to pursue an acting career. I realize the need for a day job. Any suggestions? I have a physics degree and I am a certified teacher. I also have an extensive architecture background, CAD...etc. I would like to wait or tend but I assume they are tough to come by, good ones anyway. I look an craigslist all the time but It's tough to tell which are good and which are crap.

I had my first interview for a Tech job at a Verizon Wireless store with the area manager this past Friday after having a 15 minute phone interview with the recruiter. He told me that it would take about a week for a background check. On Monday, he called asking for a copy of my High School Diploma. An hour later, the place preforming the background check called to verify my work history. Another hour went by, and the area manager I interviewed with called me back about a second interview. This second interview is in two and a half hours, and was wondering if there were any tips that anyone may have. I am wearing black pants and shoes with a white shirt and a maroon silk tie. What should I expect from this interview? Will I be asked the same questions? Should I have another copy of my resume? Does this mean I got the job?

I'm going thru a divorce and my future ex called my work and told them I'd be quitting in 2 months. Now they want me to sign a contract saying I'll stay until Dec. 28th. Is that legal? Do I have to sign? And can they fire me if I don't? Its more of a issue of his word against mine.

Next month I will be doing work experience in a secondary school. My subject is Art, and I'm not sure what to expect. At 23 this is the first time I have done work experience and I'm not sure what I will be asked to do, or what I should ask them.

I want to find out about lesson planning, monitoring, assessments etc., so do I make an appointment or just ask as I go along?

And is 2-3 days enough to gain a good picture? (I plan to undertake a couple more placements before applying for a PGCE).

I'm desperate for a job and my problem is I tend to get stressed out and over whelmed which causes me to mess up and it cost me my first job. I look back and realize how easy how my job was and if I just kept my cool I would of been fine.

How can I become more confident at my job when I get a new one. I don't want this problem of mine getting in the way anymore. I know that I do an amazing job when I know what I'm doing but the other thing is I have horrible people skills.

So how should I work and deal with my stress and my people skills? I'm tired of feeling stupid, my stomach being in knots, and I just want to hide in the corner.

I know that I can do an amazing job because when I'm doing something I know how to do then everything is just right but I know that I'm not going to know how to do every single job.

If someone can help me with my people skills and give me advice on not freaking out at my job when I feel like I'm about to mess up.

Thanks for your help!

They say to keep your resume to one page...well mines slightly over a page and a half now adding my recent job. My titles kinda explain themselves when it comes to job duties ..so I dont know if I should just put a title, or put all the details in too which just takes up more space..but I dont want my resume passed over

I am 32, but everyone at work always thinks I am 21....obviously I am flattered (and not complaining!), but it's really holding me back in the workplace. I have a real "babyface" and I don't know what to do to be taken seriously. I just missed out on a pay-rise because they didn't realize I have 11 years of work experience when moving to a new role, the bosses just presumed I was in my first or second job! I can't wear suits because work is very casual, most people wear jeans etc., so I can't suddenly over-dress, but would you have any suggestions? It's more about my "baby-face" too....I do have wrinkles etc but I just have the appearance of someone younger and I know it's really holding back my career. Help!

if two jobs, money is similar, both very big co, different titles, the only different thing is, former one is really established team and had good reputation in the field i m working; the later one is kindl of newly created position that you have to work up to your ***. what if the later one can pay you more? you go for money or you go for title?
