I had my first interview for a Tech job at a Verizon Wireless store with the area manager this past Friday after having a 15 minute phone interview with the recruiter. He told me that it would take about a week for a background check. On Monday, he called asking for a copy of my High School Diploma. An hour later, the place preforming the background check called to verify my work history. Another hour went by, and the area manager I interviewed with called me back about a second interview. This second interview is in two and a half hours, and was wondering if there were any tips that anyone may have. I am wearing black pants and shoes with a white shirt and a maroon silk tie. What should I expect from this interview? Will I be asked the same questions? Should I have another copy of my resume? Does this mean I got the job?

They will probably ask you some of the same questions again but with different twists. They obviously like you, so go in with confidence. Remember confidence does not mean *********. You are still interviewing for a position so sell yourself and act professional.
Depending on how things go, they might also review company benefits and procedures with you.
Bring another copy of your resume- to be prepared.
Finally, Good Luck. Let us know how it goes.

Sounds like you are well prepared. They are definitely interested in you. Background checks cost money so they wouldn't do one unless there was an interest. Yes, bring extra copies of your resume and references in case they are needed.
You may be asked many of the same questions and asked to provide more detail - what systems have you worked on, where did you do that, what happened when you did project A or ran test B, etc. This may also be an opportunity for you to tour the work area, meet co-workers, and be given more info about working hours, pay, etc.
You don't have the job until you receive an offer, so you are still in "sell yourself" mode at this point. You'll do fine - best of luck!

It doesnt mean you have to job, it means that they liked you the first time and want another chance to talk with you, probally in more detail. THis is a good thing! Be confident! This is probally where you will talk about pay, be smart about that, and unless you have a $ amount you must have, this is a good statment is you dont have a specific answer, " I am not sure what other people in my field are being paid, but I would be willing to work with an offer." Then go from there, they will like that answer! GOOD LUCK!!... and remember, they liked you once, they will like you again, oh and dont go with a silk tie, I would suggest a pail yellow color, or blue, but not maroon.

They want you and are doing a lot of work to get you on board. Despite this, DON"T GET COCKY!
Look good. I the manager a man or woman? Dress for this. I don't mean like you'd ask her on a date, but look sharp, look smart. What do you know about the type of location and customers that store has? If they are in a business district they want you to be able to appeal to ........ business folks meeting their business needs.
If they are in a mall, likely they want you to appeal to folks who want a personal wireless handset.
Get familiar with what's hot in their product line. DO this quick on the net. They will respect your knowledge.
Good Luck on the interview!!!
final note, make sure your hair is neat, this matters.
