I don't know about being set on fire, but I am definitely miserable! I work in a male chauvinistic environment where they don't appreciate the valuable talent around them (meaning the female employees). Other employees (also male) are disrespectful and lazy, then try to lay the blame on me and the office manager (female) when things go wrong or don't get done. Yeah, it's pretty awful! I have a day & 1/2 of vacation this week, so I am looking forward to that!

Same here. So to liven things up, I have an interview tomorrow. Even if it does not pan out, I get away for a little while. Start looking for something new.

As for the fire thing, I'm not sure. I personally don't like getting burned but if it works for you than go for it. Anything to get you through the day.

Good Luck.

I finally retired after 20 years of hell ! I hated my job. I stuck it out for the retirement pension. I wish that I had been a bigger risk taker and changed jobs sooner !

Ditto here... they completely re-did our database last night and upgraded all of our software... now nothing works. Just another day in paradise.
