I know this is really cheeky but I'm getting really tired of my work colleagues insisting they walk past my desk to get to their destinations. Every time someone comes near I have to switch applications!!!! Can't wait for your comments especially those who will remind me I'm being paid to do a job not be on here.

i am in the uk and i am a legal consultant - i find legal staff of all sectors and i am streuggling to find new clients - my boss stressed to me in my appraisel that if i could carry on the way im going i would be made manager of my team!!!

I am applying for a job with a Bank in their private banking area. They want to know why I have decided to work in this field and have to show them some strong , logical and valid reasons for choosing to work in this area. I have to type up the answer and submit it via online. They have asked me to do research and then start writing on it.

I am a recent graduate and really do not know much about the private banking field and the career outlook in this segment.
It will be a great help if anyone can help me answer the question.

I am a part time bartender with some experience. I see some ads on craigslist asking for you to send in your resume. Now, I have a regular full-time office job (program manager) and my resume is based on that job industry and applicable experience. Should I concoct a new resume based on my bartending experience (limited) and just send that out, or edit my professional resume to include my bartending experience? Thanks.

My dad bought me a guitar and I need to pay him back some of the money because I feel its the right thing to do. I told him I would sell my other one but he said not to do that so I need a way to make money-I am planning to work at McDonalds in the next two weeks but I need another way to make money just in case I dont get the job.

My boss says that nobody ever really goes by salary.com, or at least small companies do not. I really think she is saying that to justify not paying the employees what they are worth. If anyone has the time, can they look up what they are supposed to be earning on Salary.com and see if they are within the range given? That will give me a better idea if my boss is full of it. Thanks.

I am currently based in London England but have an active work visa for Canada and would like to move to Vancouver with my wife. I would like to be able to start the job search process before moving across and am looking for senior level marketing positions.

I have both client and agency experience so could look at both sides. I was Head of Marketing for a Financial Services organisation in the UK till about 2 years ago and have been a Senior Strategic Planner at a Direct Marketing Agency since then. I am new to the country and cannot find information about how much the "take home" pay is for a certain salary, or in other words, how high are the deductions. I was offered a job and need to answer soon... I am afraid that I will end up earning the same as my daughter that is just a babysitter, but would be accepting a multilingual very challenging technical job with shifts which implies a very long drive (which also means I need to buy a car, with the ensuing expense!). I would be earning 40K to start. If there is a website where I can find the information I will also be grateful for it!

I am a mother but my children are grown and studying, I do not know whether that has any effect on the deductions? Also not if my age is relevant... I am 46.
