My God - yes you should be able to take leave. Check with your HR department - you are certainly entitled to some leave, although they may have rules as to how long you can take.

If you are in the UK, your entitlement to leave begins on your first day at work. Everyone is entltled to a mimimum of 20 days per annum, but it could be more - see the terms and conditions of your employment. I am surprised that your employer has not given you a copy of the annual leave policy and a leave sheet or something similar on which to note the time taken off.

You should be able to take leave, you will need to check with your HR Dept (if you have one). You might have to hurry though as the majority of companies work from April to March and only allow you to carry over a certain number of days. As a rule of thumb, you take your stated leave dates (which can be anywhere between 20 and 25 days) and divide them by 12, then times them by the number of months you will have worked up to 1st April, ie, if you are entitles to 25 days leave per annum then that would be 2.083 days, then multiply that by 9 (dependent on when you started in July), which will give you 18.75 days. Your HR rep is obviously not very hot on this point though because they should have already informed you of what you are entitled to.

Yes you can. Ask your employer!!! Some employers have different years in which holiday can be taken e.g. Sainsbury's whose year always start at the start of April. In another job I have, the year starts January to December.
As an employee, you are entitled to paid holidays! You may want to note that holidays are very often not acruable (i.e. they cannot be carried to the next year) so it's best to find out before it's too late to take your holidays!

If you are talking about vacation, you generally have to work for one calendar year prior to having such leave. If you are simply talking about quiting the company, yes that can be done at any time unless you have signed a contract. Even then there may be a loop hole in the small print.
Unless you are leaving to go to a better position, you should have never joined the company. It took them many man-hours to train you for your position and this is the way that you repay them - SHAME ON YOU! Don't expect a reference from the company.

Yes you can take holiday when you first join a new employer. I had been working 3 weeks for my current employer when I took a week off.

It should have been a condition when you went to work there that you were taking leave the first year, but since you havent told them, you just have to ask, but dont expect a yes.

Yes you can. You need to ask your line manager or alternatively your HR department what your annual entitlement is and when it is effective from. My employer states that your entitlement starts the month after your birthday.
