I'm sending an email to see when I will find out if I'm going to be called back for a second interview. How should I write it? Should I thank them for selecting me for an interview first?

Thanks.

My husbands time in the army recently ended and he is currently looking for a job. In the meantime, he has filed for unemployment.

I'm trying to do some budgeting and have a question. The dollar amount that they tell you that you are going to get per week... is that the actual amount or do they take taxes out of that amount?

Thanks

I tried to work from home and found this site for freelancers and contract work. However, I saw a job that I really like, but the site told me to upgrade my account which is unfair. they also give you a 1099 form for tax purposes. So, is it a scam since I have to upgrade my account before I start work?

i have NO idea what to do with my life. Im 16, sitting my highers and A levels soon (ahh) and have absloutely no idea what i want to do with my life...and before people start saying im too young too know....no! everyone else knows what they want to do lol! Im pretty good at sciences and i like bio best so i thought maybe a course that involves biology but none of them seem to have great career prospects and tbh working in a lab isnt really where i want to be in 10 years time.id love to work on a amgazine like vogue, but i dont know how to get started?! help! both my parents used to be journalists, but i dont think id like to do it as a profession, i just have no idea! There's nothing in particular that seems to interest me as far as uni courses go....i dont even know if i should go to uni! My dad never went to uni and im thinking that another possibility would be to skip it and just go strtaight to work like he did (he's now very successful so it doesnt seem like such a bad idea) §

It is like a data entry job that you can work on at home. The fee they require is seventeen dollars for material. They do give a reason for the small fee, and I have written to them. They emailed me back with a response.

I have been looking online for actual legitimate businesses, and this seems ok, but I have not gotten into it either.

Any thoughts?

Peter Gibbons: Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses drone on about about mission statements.
--------------
Peter Gibbons: The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.
Bob Porter: Don't... don't care?
Peter Gibbons: It's a problem of motivation, all right? Now if I work my *** off and Initech ships a few extra units, I don't see another dime; so where's the motivation? And here's something else, Bob: I have eight different bosses right now.
Bob Slydell: Eight?
Peter Gibbons: Eight, Bob. So that means that when I make a mistake, I have eight different people coming by to tell me about it. That's my only real motivation is not to be hassled; that, and the fear of losing my job. But you know, Bob, that will only make someone work just hard enough not to get fired.

I know am good at my job everyone can tell, especially after being selected out of a big group to move to a higher position before this boss joined the department. Initially she promised to pay me double the salary, and it's been a year and she did not fight enough for me to upper managment. I told her about receiving other job offers inorder to get her move on, but she just said do what suits you, It's not in my hands. I noticed that all the new employees received the new salary I was promised, and she is not welling to do anything. I like my new position, the holidays and the fllexibility, but not the pay. That is the only reason I remain there. What can I do to change the situation?
