depending upon individual skill and the area/market they are working, a qualified stylist who is efficient and able to interpret client needs can earn from 30K (in a small to medium market ) to over 100K (in a large market or upscale area). Most stylists work 4 to 6 days per week.
At first, the money will not be consistant as you build a clientel, but as both clientel and reputation build, your bookings will increase and your percentage of tips will also increase.
Also, your income depends upon whether you are hourly or on commission and the amount of "hustle in your bustle" when you deal with your clients.

Your right it depends on where and who. some make ten dallors an hour some can make forty an hour....not all are equal....
