well im 18 ands i live in california and im going to the DMV to take my writting test and i dont know what to expect???And do i have to make an appoinment 1st or i dont need one?

I live in Minnesota, and here we do not need to make an appt. for the written test.

CA DMV are so crazy its best to have an appointment if you want to get it done in an hour. But if you have a few hours to kill go and get in line and wait. I always make an appointment.

I would call and ask. In Ohio you don't need an appt. In Indiana you take it on a computer but in Ohio it is pencil and paper, so it really depends.
