I have been looking for a home based type business on the internet that has no start up costs. I have found some but non that really interested me.

Then i saw this today, its completely new and am wondering if people would take a look at it and tell me what they think. I signed up for free and it never asked or said once that i would need to make some sort of purchase or membership fee.

So i am just wondering if i should give it a chance or not.

THANKS!

How do you cope with a work colleague who is 25 years older, with an old mentality and who doesn't keep up with our work pace and who, strangely enough, is in a leadership position? He cannot be removed but is very difficult to work with.

I signed a contract for a month, meanign it's a temp job.
I've only worked for less than a week, so I don't know if it's possible to do so
I'm working at a job through an agent, so I'm not sure if I want to leave work early (meaning to take an hour or two's leave) who do I inform?

Also, What is an appropriate way to do this?

My boss has asked me to look up research information (internet sources) for his daughters project in school. He even went as far as to tell me to make sure and hightlight the important information. Do you think I am being unreasonable being so angry about this? Should I look for a new job?

Do you feel you get more work than your co-workers and asked to do more like work on
your day off? Do you see your co-workers
get off early and still get paid for a full day
while you work late a lot.
I drove for a delivery company and was out there
all day while the other drivers sat in the office half
the time.My boss was british and so were most the
other drivers(Do you see favoritism there).I said
something to human resources about this and
nothing was done.
Why do you think they take advantge of you?

I have been with a company for 2 years working for well less than my worth on the market. I have been promised time and again that I would reap the benefits of my efforts. I work my hardest and when the time comes for the company to do their part, I am told there is no money for a salary increase but that I will reap even greater rewards at a future time. Two months ago they hired someone off the street in what I would consider to be a lower position for more money than I make after 2 years. He lasted about 6 weeks just getting by then stopped showing up.

I am interviewing for new positions and have a couple promising prospects. I am considering just calling it quits now before I am hired elsewhere, taking the chances that I may be out of work for a while. I have a letter of resignation sitting next to me. Perhaps this will lead to a pay increase offer? They are up the creek without me. Should I hand them the letter, tell them I'm leaving and see what happens?

interviews in my local area. Since graduating from college, I've held mostly administrative type jobs. What would be the best way to apply for work in another state (should I arrive there first, obtain a new address and send resumes? or should I send resumes from here and express my interest in their current job postings, and mention I plan to move out there?) I'm hesitant about doing the latter since I haven't held what would be considered "professional" positions, like say engineer, financial analyst, physician or attorney. I think if I held such a job, prospective out of state employers would take me more seriously (fly me out, etc..) I'd appreciate your feedback.

I live in Georgia, and the problem is that this is a free to hire free to fire state. In other words, an employer can fire you for any reason at any time without a justified complaint.

I work for an attorney, and he is a good man (sometimes). But he is EXTREMELY anal, and he gets angry at the most trivial of things! For example, the girls in the office put the stapler in the "wrong" place the other day, and he flew off the handle and started yelling at people! WTF??????

In any event, he yells at me sometimes, and it pisses me off. I just act calmly and remain professional, and apologize to him for whatever MORTAL SIN I have committed.

What would you do if you were me? How can one handle a nasty boss and not risk being terminated?

What I mean is 'mirroring.' I would like to yell at him at the same precise volume and tone which he uses when yelling at us. In other words, to demonstrate to him what it feels like tobe yelled at. Make sense?

But, I could be fired. ?

So far I've been able to talk to a plethora of job recruiters but have had absolutely no (nada, nil, zilch, zero) interviews with actual companies.

Is it just me or is this recruiter thing a waste of my gas money and lots of time ? I'm absolutely sure there's someone out there who could use my skills, I just can't seem to get in their front door through a recruiter...they're usesless.

I'm about to go to a job fair pretty soon and I don't want to look like a dirt bag and not to look like I'm trying too hard. What do people usually wear to a job fair and still land a job?
