I am thinking of applying as a bank teller. However, some people tell me that they work early mornings or late at nights. Is that true? Also., what are the normal working hours? are they 9-5 when there are people at the bank or do they come in earlier? stay later or what?

Note: Please reframe from making fun of me. I'm only 16, I've never had a job, & I'm kind of dumb I guess.

Alright, so I need to know (literally) HOW I apply for a part-time job. Like, the exact process. Do I just walk into the place I want to work at & ask for a job application? If so, do I fill it out in the store, or do I take it home & mail it to them? If I fill it out there, do I need my resume with me when I walk in? If I mail it, do I mail the resume with it? I'm too embarrassed to ask anyone I personally know because it seems like I'm the only one who doesn't already know these things. Any answers to the previous questions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1) Placing an ad for an opening within their company, and saying the applicant must specify a desired salary. Then, when the applicant does, calling the applicant in for an interview even though they are not willing to pay anywhere near what the applicant stated.
2) Placing an ad for employment and saying the company is in one city. Arranging for the applicant to come for an interview in the city specified in the ad. Then telling the applicant the position is actually in an office over an hour away from where originally stated, or even in another state.

I have over 4 years experience in A/P. I have a series six license and have worked with cash accounting. I am being paid 6.50 less then a girl that started after me and who has absolutely no accounting or bookkeeping experience at all. I also do not get paid days off but the new woman does. I am talked to like I am completely stupid and demeaned at every oppurtunity. I was expected to train this woman also.* Grrr* The other woman is praised and coddled. She has been late more often than not but was given the key to the front door and the alarm code. She is a "friend" of the owners and therefore more favored. Does this qualify as discrimination?

I am going to graduate with a BS in Pre-Law Paralegal studies next year. I have all of my required credits for my major and I have to take a bunch of classes of whatever I choose, so I figured I might as well minor in something. What do you think would be the best minor to go with my major? I haven't decided exactly what area of law I am going to work in yet.

I want to be a doctor, but the problem is..I heard people said this career is tough and..the malpractice and everything..and doctors don't get to spend a lot of time with their families..

I think I'm ready to commit to this career, but hearing these things really scares me away from this profession.

This has been my dream for so long...I know I have to think positively and don't take those words seriously, but I can't help it.

What should I do?

I've been with my company for 2 years, and might change careers. I like working with people, and busy work. I just sit infront of the PC all day.

I don't know if it's my job, or if I'm just depressed. I'm thinking of getting a career counselor, or even a life coach.
