I had to take one to get my current position. Most times, you have to take a typing test and then a written test. In Louisiana, you have to be able to type 40 wpm to pass the typing part. The written part is like a school test, 66 or better passes.

Yes I have, you will have to do a typing test, sometimes they will also included a spelling test, math test, and then a test on any of the programs you know on the computer ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc....) Proofreading test also. Good Luck. Are you going to an agency to take the test? Check out this website, gives you some test you may be taking to practice:)

Let me start off by saying hi. I have my own business and I know from personal experiance from before I had my own business what you are talking about. Make sure your resume isn't too long. 1 to 2 pages Max. Only jot down recent work or important facts. Never put down another company no matter how bad they were or how bad a situation was there. When asked why you left you can always state that you moved, you wanted a change in career or in job discription. It doesn't hurt to stretch the truth. I hope this helps.

One of the companies that manufactures the tests is call eskill. You can go to thier site and take a sample test to get a feel for what it might be like when you are going for a job. The site is:

http://www.eskill.com/

click the take sample test button and there you go.
