Time...you can't get into a new relationship if the feelings for your ex are still there. Its not fair to the new relationship. You have to give yourself time to heal before you start something new. You still have baggage from the last relationship. Damn, wish I could give you a better answer, but I don't think there is one. Good Luck

You're in the wrong section....but anyhoo. Until you're over your ex you shouldn't get involved seriously with anyone, it isn't fair to them. I'm learning this, not from personal experience but from someone else and it seems logical. If I were to go through a bad breakup and was still in love with my ex I'd play it very casual until I knew I was over my ex.

It kinda sounds like you're not over your ex yet so maybe you should hold off a little before you get into a new relationship.

Think about why the relationship ended in the first place. I was in an awful one and got out. I had to keep reminding myself why I left.

get over him and hang out with this new person a whole lot till u realize how much you don't like your ex and how greatful u r to hav this new person in ur life! either that or u shouldn't have broken up with him/her in the first place! but the first thing shood work!

Time. It is the only cure for something like that. Just remind yourself why the relationship ended and what youve learned from it.
