I'm not a US citizen yet. I have to wait a couple of years to apply for the citizenship. I used to be a flight attendant in Mexico and I would like to continue this profession here, in my new home the US.

Thanks =)

My company hired a new employee who sits next to me. She loves to talk continuously. I keep telling her I need to concentrate on my work but she says "oh sorry and then keeps right on talking." I've given her work to do but she talks while doing it so I don't know if it gets done correctly or not because she hands it back to the boss. Her bosses are not that busy so she doesn't have much work to do. She is nice enough but just loves to talk continuously. I've tried ignoring her and that didn't help. If she thinks no one is listening to her, she talks to herself like "I am thirsty. I think I'll go get a drink of water. Where did I put my pen? It's hot/cold in here, etc., etc." Do you get what I mean about this person? Any suggestions on shutting her up?

I'll be starting a new job soon and have not yet done any orientation, but I want to find out what I can sooner, rather than waiting for orientation. What I'm looking for is a website where employees and former employees give and discuss information about the company. I know there's sites that have it, but I can't remember which ones, and I don't want to pay for a service.

Thanks. :)

I heard that employers really don't check to verify that often if a person has a BA like their resume says, is this true? What about an MA? How often do employers check?

I just got my first tattoo two days ago. It's a small, cute butterfly on my foot. My mom was mad and said I was going to regret it years from now. But I don't think I will. My college professor has tattoos all down both of his arms. Do you all think I have messed up my chances of getting a good job with a decent company?

I want to work in information technology, yet I've taken free online tests about my analytical skills, technical and mechanical potential, etc. and I either get "average" or "poor". Yet, I want to work in IT even though I'm potentially better at other fields. I do want to improve my analytical and technical skills in IT however.

The economy in Michigan is in the crapper, so I need to look for a job out of state. The jobs in the areas I am looking for on monster and careerbuilder, etc. are almost all through a recruiter, but my degree and my experience are in two completely different fields. I feel like my resumes keep getting dumped because I don't have the right degree or my experience is exactly what they are looking for. I can't even do follow-up calling to check on why. I need to find jobs that are directly listed. Please help!
