be very blunt, tell her she needs to leave you to your work, you do not have the time to talk. Just remember you're there to make money, not friends, what's more important to you, not hurting someone's feelings or losing your job due to low or poor quality productivity.

There really isn't anything you can do about it to shut her up, but there is something you can do about yourself.
I would suggest you take your attention off of her before you go to work and after you get home from work and start thinking of ways to find another working environment, because she's a reminder that you probably don't like the fact that you need your job and she doesn't.
She's care free and chatty and mumbling all of the normal things people mumble about and you are going out of your way to be inhospitable to her.
I believe you feel threatened.

This works for me: Make it obvious that you're tuning him or her out (it's not that hard to do) and continue with whatever project you're working on. You can also excuse yourself to go to the restroom. Or mention to the coworker that there's a rumor going around that evaluations are going to be taken on certain employees! Hope this helps! Good luck!

Give her a donut that has ex-lax injected in it. It will actually not "shut her up", but the opposite, but at least it will in the way intended.
Another way is to talk to your supervisor, or someone else in management. Explain to them, very carefully and politely that you like her, very much, you don't want to hurt her feelings or get her into any trouble, (even if that's all BS) keep emphasizing the delicate balance between your "friendship", and her bad habit.
