How on Earth is a poor girl like me supposed to get a PSP for her boyfriend in four weeks with no job or money? I don't quite have the time to invest in a good steady job as I'm still in school, so does anyone know of any temporary work I can do to get some bacon? Don't worry, I'm not trying to impress anybody - I've been with this guy for quite some time, and I'm doing this out of the gooey goodness of my heart, not desperation.

Thanks to anyone who helps!

people asking 'how do i get rich?', or 'how do i make alot of money?' and the infamous 'how do i become a millionaire?' Don't get me wrong. I enjoy helping people. But, how do we get it through their thick skulls? I can understand teens, but adults??? It's hard work, persistence, and education. Apologies, this started as a ?, but apparently I needed to vent.

I've submitted my resume to someone who's really interested in me and my skills. It's been awhile, presuming he's still interested and he'd received my resume, I'd like to follow up and keep in touch via email. In detail, what approach should I take in this email? Any help would be grateful.

I have been home with kids for 7 yrs. I have a BA degree and graduate work (2 years). I have applied to about 200 jobs in the last 6 months and no responses! I am worried that maybe my break in the resume are preventing me from getting responses. I used to get lots of job offers back when I was working. My grades were mostly As, I have a lot to contribute, but nothing. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I've applied to part-time jobs, FT jobs, really small jobs, etc. I've been volunteering during the last 7 years so I list that too. Ugh! Help if you have any ideas.

I am a 28 year old manager at a corporate fabric store where the average age of an employee is 45. They have all been calling off of work sick (some genuine) with nice weather disease without replaceing their shift. We have had a mature policy of trust to be timely and only call off if it's really not possable to work. What kind of policies do you have at your job, or if you're a manager do you have any advice?
Thanks

supposedly i am under investigation for stealing from the store I work at... and I have not yet been interrogated by loss prevention... and its been almost 2 months.. but recently i heard that I am going to be spoken to... I didnt steal nor was i involved with the persons that did... but Im guessing by procedure I have to be questioned and harassed. but by law can they call me a liar even if they dont believe me?... because i know that they are going to harass me... and be mean and say that I stole when i didnt. Because i will end up getting an attitude really quick if im called a liar... by law can they do that? also Im not being scheduled... hardly at all... and when I have call ins... and I call in they dont use them....but when someone else calls in... they tell them to come in! is that legal as we

i just had my interview today with a firm. they didnt seem like they wanted to know much about me. they asked me a few general questions and asked if i had any questions for them. So I kept going on and on with my questions for them. I think i had like 6 or 7. It felt like i was interviewing them..so weird
is it because they thought i didnt qualify for the job so they didnt wanna know more about me?

My boss knows that I have nothing to do but shuffle papers around 50% of each day. If I ask for more work, my boss will give me 5-minutes worth of work and doesn't seem to care as long as I get my work done by the deadlines (which I do). We are also not allowed to play on the internet. I don't get bored, but I've become an avid clock watcher, because it makes for a very long day. Due to excellent pay and benefits, I don't want to look for another computer job. My co-workers have a similar problem, but they play on the internet and risk getting caught doing it. What do you think of this work situation?
