I didnt steal nor was i involved with the persons that did... but Im guessing by procedure I have to be questioned and harassed. but by law can they call me a liar even if they dont believe me?... because i know that they are going to harass me... and be mean and say that I stole when i didnt. Because i will end up getting an attitude really quick if im called a liar... by law can they do that? also Im not being scheduled... hardly at all... and when I have call ins... and I call in they dont use them....but when someone else calls in... they tell them to come in! is that legal as we

they're trying to force you to quit so they won't have to pay you unemployment. i've seen it a lot with retail jobs. they cut your hours and when you do work, are *******. its a catch-22 because if you quit, they think you did steal and they win. if you don't quit, they still win because they're making your life miserable. i guess it depends on how much you like the job and how much crap you can take to prove your innocence. i sincerely wish you good luck. : )

Yes it is legal. They can tell you you are a liar. Now, it is only slander if it is not true. If it turns out you didnt steal, and they told people you for sure did steal, you can sue them.
It is also legal to cut your schedule. That happened to me once at this high school job I had, they were just trying to get me to quit. Sounds like youre in a right to work state, eh?
They sound like a bunch of jerks, and you should get a better job. If they really want to investigate you for stealing, they can come after you even if you leave that job.

If they have any smarts, they will not outright call you a liar. It opens them to possible slander lawsuits. They will more likely keep what they say to you in the form of questions.

Until they are satisfied that you were not involved with the theft, they have every right to protect their business by not letting you work. Unless there is a contract in place, they are within their rights.
