This is a warning message for anyone applying for the Financial Advisor position at a company called AP Financial!!
These people are a bunch of liars who ONLY want to RIP YOU OFF.They will promise you the moon, that you´ll make $40k-$80k first year! Yes, that´s true if you know 500 people in the area willing to buy a pricey life insurance (which they don´t even need) and you want to be the whole day on the road and a cold-caller...but if you are fairly new to the Valley and don´t know much people,or have some ethics, after they get your friends and family as clients they´ll leave you alone...go out to the street, bring us clients. we won´t pay for your gas or your time...pure comission job, meaning that average paycheck is $2000 month if lucky! Not to mention that you have to pay them $628 non refundable to pass 3 tough exams without any help at all...if you fail, bye bye...we got your $ and you circle of trust as clients...there are more naif good hearted people lining up to be screwed

Our friend - MR X :) - has been head hunted by a very wealthy well known global firm. They recently promoted a new product set to make the company multi-millions and Mr X assisted in the promotion as a favour to one of the employees. The bosses of the company visited one day and loved by Mr X---they have approached him and said the want him for the sole job of promoting this wonder product across europe - The job would include some travelling across europe to meet potential customers etc but it is not your usual 'rep' work....customers would deal with him direct and he would bring in new clients . MR X is already a self employed succesful business man ( & Mr Personality ) he has a background in media ..

Q. what does he ask for as pay? He has never done this specific work before though it would be a doddle....They have asked him what it would cost to "secure him" & "make this happen" ( their words ) . How does he estimate his value.

Although older employees are protected by the "Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006" act, does it also protect younger employees, for example a younger employee who is more skilled being paid less than an older worker who is less skilled, but paid more simply because they're older?

I really dont mean to be arrogant but Im at the point where choosing my classes also means choosing my career path. The arrogant part is that I apparently am good at every class I take. I was planning to take classes in architecture and engineering but medical school is very tempting to go into also. I got letters from both school specified in the fields. Thing is, Im not really interested in anything in particular so which career do you think I should go into?

I recently quit a really crappy job, and I'm going to be looking for another one soon. I have a slight problem though, a drug misdemeanor. I went through all of the steps to resolve the problem, and it should be off of my record within the next year, but for now while I'm seeking employment would it be wise to be truthful on applications or just withhold information and see if they turn it up?
