Employer demands repayments in two large payments which is a month's worth of disability payments (the employee is on disability) or the other option is that the employee pay with almost a month's worth paychecks upon his return to work... Both repayment plans will place dire financial distress on employee.... can this be done? It was an employer mistake....

I'm in the process of applying for other jobs, since I am grossly underpaid where I currently work. I have an interview with a placement agency, and their standard application has a salary history spot on it.

I don't want to give my current salary. First of all, I don;t see how it's relevant. Secondly, I work in a field where everyone knows everyone else, and I don't think it's fair to my current employer to disclose how much they pay their employees.

Is there any way I can handle this on the application without raising eyebrows?

My wife is moving no later than July 15 to take a job in a city far away. I plan to move there with her. I know I will leave my current job no later than the end of December 2006, but it could be as early as 2 weeks from now. Our finances will allow me to leave my current job at any time, and I can take up to 18 months to find a job in the new city.
I want to leave my current job on good terms, and will give at least 2 weeks notice. I am interested in having a good reference for my job search in the new city. My boss is in the process of scheduling a two year project with a tight timeline, and when I leave the schedule will have to be completely redone at great cost. I am a long term employee, and my boss has no idea that I will be leaving anytime soon. Should I tell my boss that I think I will be leaving by the end of the year, or wait until I am sure when my final day will be and give two weeks notice? (even though management and my boss will know I knew well in advance)

Hi. I recently got two great job offers. One is working at Bellsouth as a inside sales representative. The job pays between 25,000 to 31,000 base salary plus commission. I will of course have to meet a sales/service quota monthly. I will recieve free benefits after working 6 month there plus 1 week vacation then at the year mark I will get 2 weeks paid vacation. Holidays I may have to work but I will get double time and a half. Oh yeah, I have to work a split shift for 3+ months, which is when you come 4 hours, leave and come back to close for the day. Schedule is based on performance and seniority.
The next job is working for Cigna Government Services as a Claims approver. No call center like atmosphere, i won't have to reach a sales quota. Benefits start immediately day of hire(the company pays half of the benefits). We are off 8 major holidays plus you get 4 extra floating holidays. Hours are M-F between 7 to 530 p.m.(sorry so length but i am trying to give all the details:)

About two weeks ago I put in an application *via intenet* for Winn-Dixie only to find out a week and a half later *when i called to check back* that it hadn't been received. I was instructed to submit a second application and check back again. I did, and checked back today. She said she looked at it and said to do it again and answer the questions carefully and check back on Saturday.
