I have just put my 2 week notice in at my current my job. And I have posted my resume at Monster.com. 2 employers have emailed me asking me to come in for an interview. One of the jobs, I really really want, but I am afraid that she will over look me when she realizes that I am pregnant. Do I have a chance to get hired?

How pregnant are you? Is it that noticeable? They can not deny you employment solely because you are pregnant. You also do not have to tell them you are pregnant, and they can not ask if you are pregnant.

It can be hard to prove, but if you don't get hired due to your pregnancy you can sue. It is considered discrimination.

Yes it is possible. I did and I was 6 months pregnant with my daughter. Do you have the qualifications for that job? Go for the interview and if she asks about your pregnancy, be straight. Tell her you are, but tell her you would like to back to work there as soon as the doctor releases you to come back to work. Make sure she understands you REALLY want the job.

The bottom line here is they cannot ask you if your pregnant, have children, married or anything like that- it is illegal!

However if you bring it up first then they can talk about it.

You should go on the interview just like it was any other interview, focus on your skills and why youre the perfect one for the job.

Yes, you can. If you feel that you can perform the job, and know you can, make that clear to them. They can't deny you employment because you're pregnant, and if they do....would you really want to work for people like that.

It's illegal to not give a woman a job because she's pregnant...but it might be hard to prove in court, unless the company is dumb about it...

Yes, if you are really good at what you do!

You need to be more confident and "sell" yourself. You are the best candidate for this position - now tell them why!

You don't need to bring up/discuss your pregnancy.

Best of luck!
