Judges don't win money. They are paid a set salary regardless of the hours they work. The salary varies greatly depending on the type of judge (local, federal, supreme court). Also, judges are elected--at least in my state. So they are expected to spend lots of money on their campaign. (A local judge I know spends about $50,000 of her own money on a reelection campaign.)
