One day my supervisor came to me and asks whether i want to join company as i am currently contract workers. He offer me technician post and i agreed to him even i am female because i just don't want to be an operator anymore. I want to write/email to him about my deeply interested for the post and what should i write to impress him and he's not hesitantly take me for the job? Pls help anyone thanks ya

I'm pretty good when I have work, but when I don't, my lifestyle quickly becomes, well, slobbish. Getting up late, staying up late, planning to do things and never getting round to them....

Hi, I am a team member of a 30 member team. I alone work in a different city and other team members, including my boss work in another city. i want to know:
how to increase my visibility and participation in team activities being in a different city. (conference calls are not really helping, because when there is any team meeting, whole of the other team is on the other side suddenly discusses something, laughs and argues which i am no able to follow over the phone. i couldnt ask repeatedly what they were discussing abt)

I am getting feedback that i am not in sink with the team. How can i handle this? Please help.

My work collegeue is getting married this summer and she is of a higher position than me. She has a different manager to myself. I don't like my work collegeue (the one who is getting married) at all and I am wondering if it is my responsibility to organise a wedding collection for her. I really don't want to do it as I dislike the woman but if I sit back and do nothing will I get into trouble for not organing a collection? Someone told me it should be her managers responsibility to organise the collection. Is this true?

I've been working in a clothes shop part time working saturdays and some sundays since the end of last august. I'm planning on handing in my notice on saturday but I was never given a contract so I am unsure how much notice I will have to work. I have said in the letter that I am happy to work until the 14th of March. Is this a long enough period. I am leaving because I want more time to concentrate on my A levels. Hi Friends,

I am currently a Londoner who has just completed all his education (BA hons in History and MA in International Politics). Most of my work experience is within banking and finance. I would like to spend some time living and working and travelling in the USA.

Is it advisable to secure employment before I leave for the USA, or shall I contact recruitment consultancies when I arrive in the USA? I am slightly confused, because here in London we have many people who come to work and many of those don't actually start looking for employment untill they get here.
