Hi Friends,

I am currently a Londoner who has just completed all his education (BA hons in History and MA in International Politics). Most of my work experience is within banking and finance. I would like to spend some time living and working and travelling in the USA.

Is it advisable to secure employment before I leave for the USA, or shall I contact recruitment consultancies when I arrive in the USA? I am slightly confused, because here in London we have many people who come to work and many of those don't actually start looking for employment untill they get here.

Thanks friends.

I think a lot would depend on your cash flow. If you have a pretty good bit of money saved up, you may be able to afford coming over with no job lined up. You could just get a place to stay, and scope out available jobs before applying. If you don't have enough money to cover 2-3 months worth of expenses, then you'd best find a job before coming over here. Otherwise, you're gonna wind up living in a cardboard box and foraging for dinner in restaurant dumpsters.

i used to be a stay in nanny. it may get very lonely given which you're with the youngsters alot (in many circumstances greater suitable than their mom and dad) and frequently the only adults you work together with are the mother and dad. the best element you're able to do is stumble on a collection of au pair or nannies on your section for social help and playdates. Nanny paintings is like another interest, despite while you're a stay in. once you're off you're able to do as you please. Its substantial to renowned which you will desire to establish your barriers from the commencing up as a stay in. this is rather uncomplicated for the traces to get blurred and the mother and dad to take great factor approximately having childcare suited down the hall. i think of its super you pick to objective something new in existence. My advice is barely take this interest in case you particularly particularly love working with babies because of the fact as a stay in, they alter into your existence. Head to the link below and it provide you each and every of the regulations for coming to the US to be an au pair.
