Having done physical jobs and desk jobs, I needed less sleep when I was doing physical work. But that was because I slept deeper, and because I never took the work home with me.
It's not so much per week as per day. You can't catch up on the weekend, it's not good for you.
Some people only need four hours a night, and are fine. I can get away with six for a while. But most people, if they spend more than two consecutive nights with less than eight hours sleep, will get irritable and clumsy. And some need ten and still live perfectly normal lives.
It's like asking how much air you need to breathe, or water you need to drink. The answer is very individual.
If you have children, you may need more.

37 HOURS IS ENOUGH FOR ANYONE. The more you sleep the more your body will think it needs sleep. If you get 5 hours of sleep a night, every night, within two weeks you will be on a schedule and won't need any more sleep. There will be plenty of time for sleep when we die. Don't sleep through life. The extra two hours is a nap or two.
