Just a quick question for you lovely guys and gals out there, how many of you have been stuck doing the same old job for many a year now and fancy a total change?
I have been a dental nurse for over 6 years now, oh i know it's not a really long time, but the times they are a changing!
And to be honest as much as i enjoy my job, it's the Bloody Public who really cheese me off, im sick to my back teeth(!) of being abused, yelled at and verbally threatened because you cant make an appointment for somebody, being threatened with violence and told that im going to get my head kicked in after work, having the surgery windows smashed, the list is endless and this is form the clinically sane patients!
So people im off, i have decided to train to become an Embalmer!
Yes that's right, from the down right rude, to the deceased!
A strange choice? what do you think? if you could do any job in the world what would it be and why?

Perhaps you're like me - you become aware of the fact that in a certain amount of time, you've got to be in work and you wonder whether, given the lethargic, warm and cosy state you're in, it's actually possible to get up and get there.

Two weeks ago I was asked to show a work colleague certain aspects of my job. Since being asked I have been issued notice of possible redundancy, albeit 12 months off. Can the company legally force me to train someone who is not employed in my department to do this work considering the fact I have been issued with redundancy notice?

I'm going to a job interview for a clothing store (Urban Outfitters), and someone told me to be prepared for the end of the interview when the potential employer will ask me if I have any questions for them. I've heard it's a big no-no to not have anything to ask, so my question is, What is a good question (or two) to ask about a retail clothing store? I've never done this before and need some help.

Hi, I'm a 17 year old high school senior from North Jersey. I'm looking for a job as a waiter, but I'm lost to how to get one. Although I've never had a job as a waiter before, I believe that I'm highly qualified. In school I'm on the national honor society and I'm a very energetic and charismatic person. I've searched about five online sites for jobs, but I haven't found anything. Does anyone have any advice for how to get this job or where to search?

I have been working in a job for a little more than a month. It's a temp-to-perm - which means I am temp and after 3 months they can make a permanent offer on the job (which I'm almost 100% sure they would). I have continued looking because I was pretty sure this wasn't the job for me. I recieved an offer last week for a great job and have accepted. I start the new job on Monday. My boss is on vacation this week and I'm wondering if it's horrible if I don't tell them until my last day. I mean - my boss isn't here so it's not like they can find a replacement for me in 3 days. I just want to work the week and leave my letter of resignation on Friday afternoon. I know I'm being a big chicken - I just don't want to deal w/ telling the HR people. It's not like I will need them for a reference and I am only a temp...!

Terrible or ok?

I graduated college last Feb., got a great job, and found out I was pregnant. 4 months into the job I had to quit from complications of the pregnancy. My baby is now 5 months old and I am wanting to go back to work really bad!! Only problem is, nobody wants to hire me because I've only had 4 months of real world job experience. How can I get them to even consider me for an inteview?? I think if I could just get an interview, I could secure a job. Thanx for any advice!!

Just weighing out my options....

I could get double major business management and business administration or I can get a bachelor in management and master that....

Does having a double major help you at all with pay and job opportunities?

"does anyone know a price range for certification as a pharmacy technicain. i don't expect an exact dollar amount , but just tell me if i'm looking at 500 dollars or 5 grand to deal drugs......
