I work with a girl who loves to label things. She will put her name on her pens, her calculator, her kleenex box, and will even label her screensaver as "Sarah's Computer". EVERYTHING! Its so annoying! Everytime I work and she doesn't I change her screensaver to something else so that if a patient walks by they won't see her computer labeled with her name. But she always changes it back. Its super annoying! Especially since she has only worked there for 6 months! What can I do??? Any ideas?

Just wondering if anyone working in HR has anything to say about whether they enjoy the job, if pay and prospects are good or bad, how easy to find posts etc. Am a recent grad, and deciding on a long term career. Have an interview for a HR assistant, they ask for a grad as they say they want sumone to put through the traning etc and from what i can gather from the info i have that they want sumone to train up to progress in the company as would obviously be aiming for management in the end, however long tht takes.
Also have an interview for a job as a trainee in Higher Education management so am currently unsure which i really want to do...... Would be interesting if anyone had any perspectives on HE management as well, whether they enjoy it, prospects, pay etc..... Hate decisions lol

I have been working the same shift for 4 months now and in the same department for 4 1/2 years. Seniority doesn't count- I was told directly by my boss. Every one is happy with their shifts and got what they wanted. Now I'm stuck with the crappy one that I don't even want. I didn't agree to it. What do I do or can I do? Advice please...no stupid postal answers, that gets you reported.

I work at 7-eleven store. It is store policy that we ask for an id regardless of age on cigerretts and alchol sales. It does not matter if the customer is 80 years old we still need to ask. What can I say when a young customer ( 25-35) says "Gee thanks for asking I know I look young" I hate when they say that because a lot of time they look even older than their real age. What simple line can I say to convince them that they do not look young but that I have to ask regardless?

Anybody that knows or been through an interview like this.. I had an interview today for a police officer position. I am an auxiliary officer with this department and have been for 4 years, know most of the guys, higher ups, etc. Today was the interview for a full time position. The interview went well, however a few times, the police chief mentioned things like, "if you don't get it this time, we're going to be hiring a lot next year.." and "don't get discouraged, your application will remain on file for a year" He mentioned that a few times. He asked about 5 questions about me. When he said that I started to get worried.. I go to all the training, calls, etc.. however, when they mention things like that, is that a bad sign? Or do they tell that to everbody? I know people on the department and I am sure my lieutenant on the department will put a word in for me?

my appt. is at 10:00 am, and I'm taking a course that my job requires me to take. I live in a small town and the driver examiner comes in once a month and I've been waiting for too long and kinda getting anxious to just take it and get it over with. I've spoken with my superivoser, and she seemed like she didn't want me to take it, she asked if I can reschedule. So my question is... what do I do next?
