Almost a year ago now, I did my work experience, which involved doing a scientific experiment. I was told that I may have to be involved in a video or photographs documenting what I did. I consented to this at the time, little realising that it would take this long for my employer to reply and arrange a date for the photo shoot.
I really do not want to do this any more, and feel almost required to, as I gave my consent for it. How do I write a letter apologising that I cannot meet for the shoot without being nasty or showing that I really can't be bothered, rather than me actually having too much to do?
I fear that my (former, by the way) employer will keep moving the date to almost persuade me to go, and therefore need a great excuse. I'm going to France for five weeks in July/August, anyway, so I've got that bit covered, but thank you tremendously in advance.
