all states have different laws about work age..but I think that it is probably illegal in all states for a 12 yr old....I suggest you tutor, babysit, or do odd jobs for neighbors...I think that will be your best bet

It is against the law for a twelve year old to have a job, unless they are actors or models. Both of those jobs require bundles of upfront cash so don't count on them.

well.......if you live close by a chocolate factory, then why not apply for the next ompa lompa position available......SILLY!! you cannot get a job at that age, but at least you're thinking of working. hold that thought until you turn 16.
