I work for a small software company. The people are great, the hours are somewhat flexible, and it's a very casual environment. The issue is our software has a very low integrity. It has more problems than good features. I don't know why we have so many customers and no lawsuits. It's a very expensive software.

My position is Tech Support. When a customer calls, I am almost embarassed to what happenned. Sometimes they actually loose money because our software messed up. I have to apologize everytime the phone rings.

Professional/considerate comments of what you would do is appreciated.

I just had an interview yesterday morning and I know I did great! Unfortunately, they chose someone else... So my question to you, all-knowing yahoo community: How do I go from "I did my best," and not go to, "My best wasn't good enough?"

I am expanding a business in the 5 boroughs of the New York City area. It is a product brokerage company that identifies the latest trends in the market and makes them available to the end consumer. Since it is based on what the consumer is looking for, the company is highly stable and profitable. Anyways, I am looking to find people who consider themselves ambitious and go-getters to work with. Please email me any questions at americhoice@unfranchise.com Even if you are not interested for yourself, at least you could refer someone who might need an income. You will be doing me and them a favor. Thank you and God bless.

It is common to some parents forcing their children to follow their career footsteps. The idea is for their kids to inherit the office or business. Since there are many new careers today, some parents are hesitant in letting their kids take these new paths. Some parents, due to career failure, wouldn't want their kids to follow their career footsteps. If you are the parent, would you allow your kids to follow your career footsteps? If you are the kid. would you follow your parents career footsteps?

i have been working for a firm as a driver and because of the date when i passed my driving test i dont have the grandfather rights on my driving licence to drive the 7.5 tonne vehicles. Due to the seniority of the company i choose a job to drive these vehicles and i got the job. The firm said they would train me, this was 7 years ago! I am still waiting to be trained and in the mean time have lost out on my driving allowance of £25 per week. Over this period i have produced my driving licence to the firm which they lost and i had to pay for myself to get it replaced. Now, in April this year the new 48 hour maximum working week starts for the firms drivers. All the other drivers have chosen a 7.5 tonne driving job and now my human resources officer says i should not be able to pick one of these jobs as i am not a current driver! Do you think i am being discriminated against and may have a claim against the company?
