It has the same characteristics of many other outside sales jobs. Interestingly, there are more and more women who peddle pharmaceuticals. I think it takes a certain kind of person to be a successful salesperson. Some people are just not suited to this kind of work; others thrive on it. It helps if you can become a "true believer" about the products that you sell.

Probably awful. You'd be on the road all of the time, calling in on doctors, pharmacies and hospitals trying to get them to use your drugs on patients over competitor's drugs. But if you like face-to-face sales good luck, you'll probably make good money and at least you won't have to be stuck in an office (i.e. you can 'work from home' most of the time). You'd probably get a car, laptop and mobile phone as well.

very tiring and hard work,i have known loads of them and i wouldnt want to do it
