Is it mostly office work? It it work that requires experience? Can you get part-time temp work, or is it only full time? Finally, what is the average period of time that's considered temporary? Thanks for the help. I don't have experience with this.

I'm currently being sought after to work on the core creative team of a relatively small (but very profitable) business. (They're actively pursuing me, I didn't approach them.) The job involves creative writing, brainstorming new products (and possibly new business ventures), developing marketing strategies, and a host of small creative tasks. The position isn't comparable to others I've seen in the job market, so I'm not sure how to figure a fair salary. They've offered $60k, but I have a hunch it might be a lowball number. Would it be crazy to come back with a figure of $80 to $90k? I don't want to appear greedy, but at the same time, I know I would be a valuable commodity to their organization. They're clearly very interested in me, and there aren't many folks with the particular creative talents I have to offer. Any thoughts?

Someone that I know was turned down for a job because they said she was "too goodlooking"-- and that she would be hit on too much! It was a juvenile correction facility. I totally see this as discrimination and unfair! What can she do? Also, who defines attractiveness. Couldn't they have just warned her about the difficulties she would face? What the hell?

i mean how do u get selected for flying commercial jets ? what are the pay packages in india and abroad?
by the way,is the training for flying an aircraft really expensive?

i have been voluteering at a non-profit orgnization as a accountant assistant for a while. a month ago, they have a part-time opening position for accounting assistant, and i applied for that job right away. since then, every time i went to volunteer there i would ask them about job interview, but they always said next week. and just about yesterday, they told me they hired someone else, and also said they welcome volunteers so i can still stay there. i just said ok, but i felt hurt inside. i believe i have been doing good job for them, but i didn't even get a job interview.
do you think they just take advantage of me since they just want me work as a free employee, or something else going on? also, i thought they hired a professional but l just found out they hired a stundet (i am a student also) with no expericens at all.
