I really love to help people, especially children, but I also want to make great money. Do anyone have any suggestions for a person that would want to satisfy all of the things listed above. Thanks. P.S. I do not think that I would like to be a doctor, but I would consider dentistry.

I referred a family member for a job at the company I work for and she got it. Now, after a week she doesn't like it and is going to quit as soon as she can find another job. I've only been there 9 months, but it's the best job I've ever had. The owner's cardinal rule is honesty and I feel somewhat obligated to let him know what's going on, but then again it would cause a lot of hard feelings in the family, especially if she is unable to find another job and ends up staying. Some opinions, please...

My friend is having a problem at work. Her job is going through some changes and they want to change her work schedule to better fit in with their project needs. She has childcare issues that restrict her available somewhat. They have given her a new schedule that meets her availability only half of the time (which they knew her availability when she was hired 3 months ago) and they are requesting her to write a letter of acceptance. What does she do? Write the letter of acceptance, knowing she will be unable to fulfill the agreement? Write a letter stating that she does not agree with the schedule? Take it up the food chain? - Oh, she put in a written schedule request before this new schedule came out - they paid very little attention to that. We need help, please…

I am a freshman in highschool. I am quite gifted in many things and am pretty sure I can do almost anything I want to.
My ideal job would be the following:
-It would challenge me everyday
-It would require intellect (for example, i would not choose to be a accountant or a salesman because I would feel like that is not my purpose in life since I could have done more for myself and the world)
-It would be something that would directly help people
-It would be something that does take normal work hours yet will not interfere with happines because of work
-It has to make money too
-It has to be intellectually interesting

I really wish someone could give me some really good guidance. It would really make a difference in my life if someone would give me a resource that outlined various occupations rather than one or two specific ones, but any guidance would be appreciated.

I was denied 2 weeks of unemployment benifits because I did not register with the workforce within 3 days. The booklet says payment can be "delayed or denied" if I have not registered within the 3 days. I was hanging on the words "delayed" but when I had the appeal hearing over the phone I was denied. I now have 14 days to request a 2nd appeal to the Commission. My argument is that I was not aware of this requirement. My company closed and filed the claim on everyone's behalf and I was under the understanding that all I would have to do is do the required number of work searches stated by the Tx Workforce Commission, which were 3. I am still searching for a job and these 2 weeks of umemployment are very much needed. Is it pointless or do I have a chance?

I work for a credit union, and part of our employment policy requires all employees to complete a required 5 hours per quarter of "community involvement," such as participating in after-hours business events and tradeshows. If an employee does not complete the required number of hours per quarter, they are marked down on annual reviews, or worse, they are written up. Is this legal?

I want to be a social worker, but its not enough money. If I work around 8 hours a day, five days a week, what other career could I have at the same time? Preferably something that won`t take more than 6 years of college and that is a pretty dependable job. (i.e. Opening a business would be bad, because if it failed I`d be in really bad shape) Also, I don`t need a ton of time to myself, but I do want to have some hint of a life, so it can`t be something thats going to stop me from having a life at all.
