My question is should i take off the coat once i get there??? If i am supposed to, as I cant imagine leaving it on, when and where do i do that?

I'm moving to another state in August. When should I start looking for another job? I've applied to several companies and i've only had a few responses and each one is saying wait until I get to the area to meet with them. What should I do in the mean time?

I work with a woman who is not my supervisor, but I do some work for her within the company. She is a major witch and I honestly believe she is bi-polar.

I RARELY make mistakes at work, and when I do they are not life altering mistakes and are no big deal to my boss. My co-worker also makes mistakes that I fix and I don't talk down to her or make a scene.

When I do anything wrong, she sends me an email that is condescending and then gives me attitude. She also goes to my other co-worker and tells her all about it and I can hear her talking about me.

I am so sick of this biatch! I refuse to quit my job and I won’t confront her because she wants to fight with anyone she can. Now she asked me to step into her office so she can “talk” to me!

Doesn't National Registry supercede any State Registry?

The only thing I can come up with is that the licensing might be different because of different State laws. Is there a way to just test for the laws or do I have to go to go to a State EMT school and start over again?

What should I say at an interview why I have a 3 month break in employment? The true answer is that I have been in search of a job for 3 months, but haven't been hired anywhere...but to me, that's not a good thing to say because it brings up the question as to "why hasn't she been hired?" I don't want to lie, but I have no problem embelishing the truth. Any ideas?

For almost a year on Saturaday and Sundays I've been doing split shifts 7-11am, 4-8pm. It's become very draining physicly and mentally. I brought my concerns to managment and they've been riding it out. I've had enough and can't do it anymore. I don't want to lie but I think it's come to it because I know they will continue to ride it out and I'll be labeled a whinner. I was thinking of telling them I started a class on Saturday and it was the only one I was able to get into. Or can you think of something I can tell them for both days other then a second job. They frown upon second jobs because my company "owns" us. I'm looking for a new job but who knows when that will happen.

I'm having a problem with someone at work. He's the head chef at the hotel I work at. I'm at front desk. Before xmas I had an allergic reaction to something from the kitchen and he was talked to about it by managment. He has never said anything to me about how I was feeling or if I was ok and showed no concern over the issue to me. I let it go. But yesterday, I took a cup of coffee from the coffee shop in the lobby without paying for it. The staff there let us take it. I got called into the office by 2 of the head managment and I got written up and they tried to force me to give them names of other people who do this and allow it but I didn't. Turns out the chef saw me take the coffee and ratted me out. He obviously has a problem with me steaming from before xmas or just has a stick up his ***. Should I confront him? I'm looking for a new job. They;re making me feel like a criminal over coffee and I deserve better. What's next with him? What should I do?

I just started a job last Tuesday and I absolutely hate it. I am so miserable there and can't sleep and can't eat. My unemployment just ran out so the only income I have coming in is this. I am married, but don't want to rely on my husband to help me if I quit. There is a new preschool that was just built in my town, but the opening date has yet to be established. My parents say to grin and bare it until they open, but I don't know if I can wait that long. I am just miserable. Does anyone have any suggestions and I would appreciate only honest ones, not the sarcastic, nasty ones that are only meant to be malicious. Thank you for your time.

There are two new positions in my department, a senior staff and a manager position. How can I show to my department director my interest in moving up, or what should I do to improve my vertical mobility. I'm still pretty new (2 months), but I have leadership skill and experience, and I'm knowledgeable in my field. I've made a couple of mistakes from being new to a large company, but -- eh help me out. I would really enjoy my job more if I had more responsibility and worked more with my peers. Any ideas? Have you done something similar?

This popped up on my yahoo mail, so I hope it's on the square. I do love to shop, and I am opinionated, so mystery shopping sounds like a good gig. I'm just reluctant to jump in. Has anyone tried this woth this firm or another like it?

Okay, I tried to condense this as much as possible:
1. She (well, actually someone close to her!) came up with the skeleton idea. When it worked on her, she recommended it to me -- in private.
2. It worked on me, and I was so impressed that I wanted to tell everyone else. I knew that if only people knew about it, it would be a success. I said as much TO her, but she said she didn't think they'd believe it, and that was why she'd only mentioned it to me in private.
3. She and I have slightly different "methods," but they work equally well. That is, I took her method and honed it, so that it would work for my individual needs.
4. Of my own accord I decided to figure out a way to let people know about this whole thing, in a subtle way, where they wouldn't feel pushed. (I knew that if they felt actively pushed, they'd never go for it.)

Any ideas of what to do if your ex-employer won't send out your W-2? Company went bankrupt mid-year, and we all lost our jobs. Not only did they not pay us for our last 2 weeks of work, but now won't send out the W-2. Any advise???

The reason I ask is because in my business ethics class, my class was having a discussion on wal mart, and my teacher assigned this question to the class. Now, I don't really know a whole lot about Wal Mart, but I have heard they don't treat their employees very well. So, could someone please inform me a litttle more? Thanks!

That sounds cockier than I meant for it to, but it is still my question. I am one of those lucky people that does well at whatever I put my mind to. And because of this I can't figure out what I want to do for a career!

I know what I don't want. I don't want a cubicle desk. I have to be active, I can't sit in a closed space for 8 hours a day, i'd go nuts.
I like statistics. I do want leadership responsibility but on my terms. I have experience in journalism, PR, teaching, military and construction. Each of those had things I enjoyed and things I detested. Where does one go to find where they fit?
