Any ideas of what to do if your ex-employer won't send out your W-2? Company went bankrupt mid-year, and we all lost our jobs. Not only did they not pay us for our last 2 weeks of work, but now won't send out the W-2. Any advise???

800-829-1040. Call the IRS and tell them all of this. Have all of the information you know about them and ask the IRS for direction. If you have your last check stub, keep that for your records, and you may be able to use that soon.
If they didn't pay you, but reported it, it will cause you some grief.

good luck & blessing & happy valentines day

Contact the IRS, the company may have gone bankrupt but that won't protect the former owner from IRS fines for not providing a W-2. I had to threaten a former employer with IRS fines for not reissuing my W-2 when I never received it.

Every employer is supposed to send out W-2's by January 31. So if you have not gotten anything from them I would contact your local Employment department and let them know what is going on and see what they may suggest you do.

I had this exact same thing happened to me 2 years ago. Except my employer didn't pay me for like 2 months. So I had to do a claim on it and I got paid from the employment department.

Good Luck.
