I was served a McChicken Sandwich by brainless individual today and was wondering if this was a requirement for employment in such an establishment.

absolutely NOT! No brain power needed, they have a register which calculates all the numbers.. half the employees come in High as the sky.. the other half are too old to blaze or shoot up...these fast foods restuarant employees can be replaced by an assembly line for all i care.

Being a bit elitest aren't we ? I am guessing everyone has at some time or another eaten fast food from one of the popluar chains, ie Mc Donalds, Burger King, KFC etc.....in point of fact, considering the chains have grown to such an extent that they are now in places like Russia etc a vast number of you eat from these establiments frequently.........what makes you all better than the people who cook and serve you that food? Purely the fact you don't happen to work in a fast food outlet?

Actually, I worked in McD's to earn some money while I was at Uni. (And consider myself to be reasonably intelligent, may I quickly add!)

It was actually pretty hard work, both physically and, believe it or not, mentally. Although none of the tasks were particularly challenging, it did require a sustained level of concentration, and the whole ethos of fast food means that workers have to do three things at once at a very fast pace - it really is not easy.

So don't dis those poor people! I pity them every time I go in!

What a refreshing outlook you have! It's good to see someone here who's happy to get out and let their hair down. I don't know about the States, but here in Australia a good fast food standby (and very tasty) is a felafel roll from a Lebanese shop (actually quite healthy). They go well with beer!

Take your super brain and your mega bucks and go eat at a fancy restaraunt, because you are much too intelligent to be caught eating at such a meager establishment.

Who knows where, Who knows when, but all this stuff you say about others will all come back to haunt you.

Yeah, I guess it is upsetting dealing with people of less caliber, but how would you expect to be treated when you are confronted with people who are much smarter than you are?

Yeah, it will happen and it will feel like crap.
Then you will remember back to a time when you treated somebody else that way.

Those that are less fortunate that need to work too.
You can't just put them out on the street.

It's ok to vent. Everybody gets upset. I understand that all too well.
Just remember nobody is perfect.

not by the looks of some of the people that work there but hey maybe they have just enough brain power to hand your bag of fast food and read off of a screen just how much change to hand you, the hardest part of there day is figuring out which button you push to add a side order of fries. I'm just kidding I'm sure they work very hard. ;)

It deffinately seems that way, i have become so miffed by the service at Mac Ds that i have given up on them and now use their rivals, every time i went i came out with only half of my order, i think it worse at the francise stores than at company ones but even they dont really seem to have any customer skills.

At least they are working....we've all got to start somewhere...

At lot of the time McD's employ school leavers/students who don't have much life experience or any previous work experience....

Give them a break and eat healthily!

You do not require a brain to work anywhere - You already have one ! It is how you use it that determines your qualifications. Unfortunately, one never knows until it is too late-
