If you use the cellphone only for calls made as part of your job requirement (ie required to be accessible 24 hours a day while on call) then yes. But if you used it for personal use and business use then you can only deduct that portion of the phone expenses that were used for business. Not likely worth even looking at. Think about it...if you use 400 minutes and you were on call for 6 days in a month then you're looking at what 10 minutes out of 400? That's about 1.88 a month that's deductible. Numbers get worse if your total minutes are higher.
