For almost a year on Saturaday and Sundays I've been doing split shifts 7-11am, 4-8pm. It's become very draining physicly and mentally. I brought my concerns to managment and they've been riding it out. I've had enough and can't do it anymore. I don't want to lie but I think it's come to it because I know they will continue to ride it out and I'll be labeled a whinner. I was thinking of telling them I started a class on Saturday and it was the only one I was able to get into. Or can you think of something I can tell them for both days other then a second job. They frown upon second jobs because my company "owns" us. I'm looking for a new job but who knows when that will happen.

I your in school then the best thing to do is to tell them that you have a class. Make sure that when you tell them you are really firm, you have to be with these kind of people otherwise they would practicly rape if they could. dont tell them its the only one you could get into unless they ask, un-needed explainations open the gate for getting run over.

Think about it this way, would you have a flexible job if you werent in college? isnt that the trade off for low pay and crappy work? flexibility? so screw 'em

Don't lie about it. Simply tell them that this sit schedule is wearing you out, and you can't handle it.. You just make things worse when you lie.
