I just started a job last Tuesday and I absolutely hate it. I am so miserable there and can't sleep and can't eat. My unemployment just ran out so the only income I have coming in is this. I am married, but don't want to rely on my husband to help me if I quit. There is a new preschool that was just built in my town, but the opening date has yet to be established. My parents say to grin and bare it until they open, but I don't know if I can wait that long. I am just miserable. Does anyone have any suggestions and I would appreciate only honest ones, not the sarcastic, nasty ones that are only meant to be malicious. Thank you for your time.

It is a preschool and the people there are so nasty and I am constantly pulled out of one classroom to go to another and another. Not to mention the silly uniform that I am required to wear. They constantly shuffle children from one class to another class and the paper work is ridiculous. You are spending more time filling in the paper work rather then interacting with the children.

You have said nothing about what bothers you at work, so I can't comment on that.

If you don't like it that much, then look for other work.

Why don't you want your husband to help you?
That doesn't make any sense.
That is what spouses are supposed to do. Help each other.
Together you stand. Divided you fall.
You have to count on each other for some kind of support.
That is the closest thing besides friends that will help you to find a job and keep one. That along with your parents, friends and relatives.

only been there a short while, give it a bit of a chance. are you sure you only want to work at a preschool? maybe do something else, at least in interim, until other place opens. flipping burgers or 7-11 clerk will pay at least a few bucks and can't be too demanding or stressful

jobs are like relationships...don't leave one until you have another lined up.

Even if it sucks, stick it out until you can get another one.
