Call the place you had an interview for and ask to speak with someone who does the hiring or even the manager. Ask if they are still interested in hiring you for their company. Say that you had an interview last Friday and you are calling to get a follow up on the interview. Keeping on top of this shows management that you are really needing a job.

Did you send a thank you letter to the interviewer(s)?
If not, I would ASAP.

How do you feel the interview went? Did you ask questions about the company? Ultimately there's no way of knowing whether they'll choose you over another candidate unless you follow up with them. Good luck?

You can never be too sure. Just keep looking in the meantime in case it doesn't work out. Good luck.
