I want to send my resume by fax, how can I do it online?

I know there are some places that charge, but is there any way I can send a possible employer (who wants my resume by fax) my resume through the internet... for free???

Got a scanner ? know their fax number ? Got windows XP or newer ? Windows has a built in fax, just activate it from the control panel you can fax from a stored document or from the scanner. Click on Control Panel then Printers and other hardware then printers and faxes.

normally, i would email it. proper resume etiquette is do not fax unless specifically asked. however, if they are openly asking for faxes, go ahead. as an employer i despise unsolicited faxes of any kind, whether resumes or sales pitches. if they're asking for faxes, they're probably screening them with eyeballs. few businesses will actually scan a fax sent to them so it can be screened by a computer. files, however, are usually screened by computer... and i have seen first-hand what a botch some of the screening programs can make!!

The free faxing sites may put ads in your fax which probably wont leave your possible employer with a good first impression. Not through a fax - unless you yourself own a fax (or a friend does) - if you want to send your resume over the internet, I would suggest asking for the employers email.
