Sales assistant is somebody who makes sales. They are usually referred to as sales representatives. They are usually paid on commission so the pay is virtually unlimited if the sales rep is motivated and what they are selling is something that customers want. It would also depend on the commission rate that they are getting paid.
A receptionist at a law firm would be answering phones, taking messages, booking meetings, faxing, making copies, getting coffee--pretty much anything his/her boss told them to do. A receptionist would probably make $10-12 per hour.
A child care worker is either a babysitter or somebody who works at a day care facility. They will watch children and change diapers. Lots of day care facilities have some sort of "class" that the students go to...like a 2 year old may go to a "brushing your teeth" class. Most child care workers are paid near the minimum wage--probably no more than $7.00/hour.
