I have never been able to do some jobs even though I am intelligent and find every job/position interesting. I have dyslexia. It can cause small constant goof-ups.

I hope that is not your problem but there are good web sites to read about this problem and what you can do about it. Did you have similar problems in school?

www.dyslexia.com was started by Ron Davis the authour of DYSLEXIA THE GIFT. It is a cheap easy to read paperback that shows how it is possible to be very intelligent and still see things differently. And they have a http://www.dyslexia.com/library/symptoms.htm where you can see a list of symptoms. Good luck.

I tend to pour myself totally into the customer. I totally devote myself to their needs and somehow don't see that I am counting change incorrectly or mistake a quarter for a nickle or a $1 for a $5 (odd as it sounds, most times I would have a dollar or two too much) Oh and I hope you do not mind I will be praying for you.

Its all like anything else in life. It has been done for more than 30 days thus becoming a habit, be that it bad or good. I assume your focus issues have been going on for some time. Its all about the will power to train the brain to focus on tasks. Start out small by sitting in your bedroom. Having it totally quiet and look at an object. Stare it down, Think about what that objects purpose is in life at this moment in time and in the future. now imagine how many possibilities this object can be used for by thinking outside the box of norm. But keep in mind, keep your eyes glued onto the object. The longer you can go the more your learning to concentrating on a single task. Thus making new pathways in your brain. If you can do it time and again on the same object your on the road to teaching repetitive thinking. Eventually add noise, moving objects around you to see if you can still maintain your focus on that object.

This method can work for lots of things. I consider myself fairly intelligent but find I too am lazy and have bad habits that keep me from reaching my full potential. LOL but that's the human way.

*Have a good sleep the night before. I hv found that a good night's rest makes a big difference. It makes the day feel shorter because you are more awake.
*Avoid coffee. It helps on a short term basis, but it actually pulls your enegry down later.
*Make a conscious effort to learn something new each day. Focus on things you do not know, and would like to learn. This will keep the brain active. Also, get creative. Maybe you can add a fresh twist to something you have already been doing.

Does anyone else have access to your drawer? Even if you leave for a minute you should lock your drawer. I lost a job over this kind of stuff and I did not steal a penny. I was a new employee and other people had access to my drawer.

Get a job that interests you. If you can afford, try an unpaid internship in an area that you like.
