I really hate my job, and I may be moving to colorado. I found another company that I like that looks interested in hiring me, and they said they will transfer me if I make the move to denver. Should I forwarn my current boss that I am thinking of moving? That way she will have a little warning if I give my notice. Or should I just give my notice if the other company decides to hire me and just drop the bomb on her?

My desire is to leave the corporate world and do what I love for a living, travelling and writing. I've been to college, but I don't have a degree. However, I do have a natural skill and passion for writing, as well as an imagination and I'm currently taking a creative writing course. What do I have to do get into this career and leave the 9-5 world? What is the money like for this job? I'm single and have no kids...

Company has had lay offs. My manager has now said to reorganize the dept. Meaning, giving my work to others... This has come as a shock. Should I step down or should I ride it out. What the heck should I do. This is causing way too much stress in my life. I have had alot of personal challenges this year, my brother was killed in a car accident, my Dad passed away shortly after that, my daughter was in a accident which has left her without the use of her right hand (she is right handed) and my Mom broke her hip. I really think the company can not handle all the things that have happened this year, and I feel like they need to remove me from the mix. Am I nuts or is this something I really am feeling. Any help would be greatly appriecaited.

Working overseas is somewhat a different kind of experience. Are librarians in need in South Korea? But what about the compensation?

I have been a a new job for two weeks. I am in a sales position, and I was talking two my boss and she asked me if I like selling! Isn't that odd considering I am one of his salespeople? Then she told me I was very good at it, and then asked how long I was out of work before taking this job, as I was out for several months...Whta was she getting at? I am so confused!
