When your company gives you a computer do they know what you are doing on it?

I don't mean the ones you use in your office, but for example my company gave me a laptop to take home, do they know what I'm doing on it at home?

If so how do they find out.

If you erase your history and cookies, can they still find out?

I've been wondering since I may have done some inappropriate things (porn, dirty emails) on my dads companys laptop but I erased all the search history and cookies. The laptop is from Hewlett-Packard. Im 18 btw.

Btw I use a home internet connection. I use it at home not at work.

Is there any way for me to clean my computer so that they can't see what I've done?

I know of many UK citizens who decide to move out to middle eastern countries to work such as Saudi Arabia. I understand the money motive in that there are often higher wages there and no income tax and a cheaper cost of living, however to what extent are all these over and above the UK? IS there really a massive gap in salary earned? One person I know is on £80,000 p/a with not even GCSEs. Does a degree speak volumes in the middle east and are the prospects for a very affluent lifestyle really tangible and achievable?

It takes 37 years of work in the U.S. postal service to get 70%
of your base pay when you retire. At 30 years of work, you get
only 56%. It takes 41 years and 11 months to get 80%.
In addition, the U.S. postal service gives out large amounts of
overtime, but is reluctant to hire new "career" employees.
The U.S. postal service has an aging work force. How can the
U.S. postal service function efficiently in this manner?

I'm thinking about entering into this career field and want a little more info. I don't have access to most internet sites (they are blocked through my ISP filter), so please don't leave links.

How much do you get paid?
I know that the schooling is about 2 years, but how much does is cost to get this degree?
If you are in this career field, I would love to hear your response!

Also, do you think it might be easier to become a dental assistant? There's less "anatomy" to remember (only teeth instead of the entire bone structure, etc...).
Please help!

Im an independent, single, 28 yr old male and work as an automotive engineer. Ive worked in engineering for 8 yrs, and my current job pays well and is secure. I have a mechanical engineering degree, and also a Master's qualification. Thing is, ive now become bored with engineering, im unmotivated/uninspired, dont see my future in it, and the situation is depressing me cus i really want a new challenge. i have felt this way for some time and feel trapped cus ideally i want to do something creative, a role which will allow me to express myself (everyone tells me im a talented artist) but im told i need to re-train by prospective employers. Im seriously considering going back to uni again to study say animation or graphic design, but this will hit me hard financially and will mean making big sacrifices (3yrs further study, giving up nice car, putting off buying a house). Anyone made such a career change, any regrets? Decisions, decisions.... :
