I have this image of going to a car lot or store and being swarmed salesmen. "What would it take to put you in this car" or buy this TV. Do you have to be this way? Thanks

I have been on two interviews for a position I really want. I followed up with the interviewer today, and she said that I might have to be called in for one more interview and that she is making the decision right after the holidays. I said that I would be available to come in again, and she said that was good since she was on the 3rd round of interviews.

What does the 3rd round mean?? She has had 3 groups of people come in over a period of time, or does that mean there are several people coming in for the 3rd interview??? Just wondering and waiting...

If the place I work at is the only one that does this. It wasn't totally horrible, but I am frankly offended by it b/c I do a great job. I heard from a manager that they only give good reviews to those on the management track. And that to get a good review, I'd have to do work that is the job of the department head in addition to what I already do. I think they are not judging me by what I do, b/c I do everything in my job description. Are there other companies that do this?

I am in High School right now, junior year. For being absolutely honest with you people, I've always wanted to study something exclusively related to money, and therefore I have decided to choose a major in Business (Finance, Accounting, etc). But now, I'm not so sure, I dont know if that's what I really want, if that is going to fulfill my life, and make me feel happy in my future job, or even if I'm really going to be good at it.

I really dont have a specific talent, I'm good in Math, but not so much as I am with reading and writing skills.
Additionally, I must say that I'm also very shy and I dont have many socializing skills.

Well, I'd be pleased if you could advice me about a major according to some characteristics of mine that I listed above.
Thanks

I interviewed for a job and was informed that I would take a test that would determine whether I'll be hired or not. She informed me that it would take an hour to ninety minutes. Has anyone ever done this? Could you give me some insights? I'm a little nervous.

I received a note with my paycheck saying "Due to escalating food prices each employee will be charged $1.50 per meal per shift worked. This charge will be deducted from each payroll check based on the number of shifts worked.I don't eat meals there and therefore I don't feel I should pay for them either. We do not have an employee handbook and the kichen manager said this will be done even if we do not eat anything. Our previous policy was employee meals with a few exceptions to the menu will be free. Can an employer just decide on what they want to take out of a person's paycheck with out their consent like this? They have also threatened to deduct other charges from our paychecks like if we get caught using our cell phones, making innocent mistakes on food preperation etc...

I just started a new sales job. I have a sales background but I lost alot of confidence in my last job. I had just moved to a new city and things were just so different from what I was used to. I went from being a top dog to bottom of the barrel. I hate being on the bottom.

My competitve streak has always benefited me in sales. But lately it has gotten hard for me to get over rejections. Rejections, at one time, didn't bother me at all. I am so scared of failing I am practically paralyzed.

I like sales but I think I need a change in attitude if I am ever going to get back on top again.

Please help.

I am a male sales rep that has been with my company for over 4 years. Recently, we hired a female rep with no sales experience and is very wet behind the ears. She has a relative that is a financial planner and has asked me to sit with them. I politely declined and now she gives me nothing but attitude. She is very brazen with me and a few other co-workers and is not very respectful. Upper management loves her because she is a young, attractive woman in a predominantly male office. I have not approached management about her behavior yet, but I'm getting close. I'm just afraid of losing the "political game" due to the fact she is a woman. I've been professional, answered her questions, taken her on sales calls, given her materials to succeed in sales. I just don't understand the hostility and I don't know what to do. I'm also afraid of losing my job if I approach management about her. What should I do?

I have been working for a family part-time and they want to hire me full-time (50 hrs per week). They asked me how much I would need to make to make the position desirable for me. I have been charging $13 per hour and they want a flat weekly rate. I have about 3 years nannying experience, about 6 years of experience working with children, and a bachelors degree in elementary education. Oh and there are 2 children.
