I have this image of going to a car lot or store and being swarmed salesmen. "What would it take to put you in this car" or buy this TV. Do you have to be this way? Thanks

no, im not aggressive but i still close every deal! Its all about breaking down the wall of resistance and making the customer feel like youre there for them not just trying to make a sale. read the book "how to become a rainmaker" by Jeffery fox. he has a few good books. zig ziglar also has a good book.

You do not have to be the aggressive type to be a salesman. There are plenty of people who do fall into this category, but it is not a necessity by any means.

What makes a salesman heads and tails above others is the ability to build relationships and create trust. A good salesman can sit down with clients, identify their needs, offer solutions, and close the deal without being too pushy on these two aspects alone. Bottom line, people want to buy from people they trust are looking out for their own interests and not their own. When that happens, not only do the sales come in, but the referrals as well.

Aggressive-no, they bully people into sales and everyone tries to avoid them. Assertive, yes. The key to selling successfully is knowing that if someone is looking to buy they need the product. You are helping them find what they need and get the best deal on it, and you should keep this in mind as well as let them know that you are working for them. Even though you get a commission (usually) they are going to buy this product regardless you may as well be the one to sell it to them.

It depends on the job some work on commission and some dont , the ones that work on commission on get paid for there sales so there are always aggressive, and the other you can be laid back because you get paid if you or dont make a sale
