I've been babysitting these kids for over a year and i only get 10$ an hour for triplet three year olds. They can afford to pay more and most other sitters in my area get over 10$ for one or two kids. Most get 12$ per hr for two kids over 6. I'm going to college next year and can use any extra cash... how do i ask without asking?

You can tell them this coming year, your rates are going up. Then say you've asked friends, and the going rate is $12 an hour and that's what you'd like to charge.

I'm sure THEY get a raise every year!

considering that the minimum wage where im at just went to 6.95$,and most people i know lost there jobs cause the places couldnt pay that.i think you should be glad to have the job you have, finish school, gat a good job.and move on.and be glad ya had that income to use while in school, here most kids dont.

Hmm, you get paid better than I do, and I am 26 years old. If you want a raise, tell them what you just told me, if not, tell them i will keep their kids for much cheaper.

you have to tell it to the parents DIRECTLY. tell them that taking care of triplets is such a hard job and should increase the money they are giving y0u.... if you can't tell it, try to write a note about it...... just go for it, it's for your own good....
